Beaumont Health has opened two new urgent care centers in Downriver communities, continuing an expansion that recently included a new center in Allen Park.

Beaumont Health has acquired five urgent care centers from Urgent Care 1. The converted and upgraded facilities opened as Beaumont Urgent Care on June 25.

The five sites include one at 9870 Telegraph Road in Taylor, as well as a facility at 18930 West Road in Woodhaven.

The other three sites are in Farmington Hills, Garden City and Novi.

“Beaumont is working with WellStreet, a company experienced with running patient-focused urgent care centers,” said Bernice Sessa, medical director of Beaumont Urgent Care. “We are eager to serve patients and families by providing quality care on their terms, with easy access at lower cost.”

While services are not limited to Beaumont patients, the medical team at Beaumont Urgent Care centers can access the Beaumont Network electronic medical record to help doctors and nurses provide coordinated care.

Patients also are encouraged to find a primary care physician, and staff can assist with coordinating necessary care for patients and physicians.

“Beaumont Urgent Care center’s talented providers and staff are very focused on our patient’s experience,” said WellStreet’s CEO, Ron Lavater. “It is our goal to have patients in and out of our centers within an hour or less. We are thrilled to serve the communities in the new locations.”
