Lisa Mikkelsen joined the company in March 2020 as the Chief Executive Officer. She is a seasoned healthcare executive with 14 years of multi-unit operations experience. Prior to joining WellStreet, Lisa was the COO of Benevis Dental Practice Management Services, the leading Medicaid-focused children’s dental support organization. She was an integral part of the company’s growth from 6 offices in 2005 to a network of 165 offices in 2019 across 18 states, with 2+ million patient visits annually. Her previous experience at Benevis includes leadership roles in Revenue Cycle, Call Center, Field Leadership, Office Operations, and Marketing.
Lisa is skilled, and thrives, in taking a solutions-based approach to leading teams through growth and change. She is passionate about developing team members, building culture, and implementing systems and processes to effectively support growth.
Lisa started her career in investment banking as a Financial Analyst with McColl Partners, LLC (currently Deloitte Mergers and Acquisitions) and with First Union Securities, Inc. (currently Wells Fargo) in the Mergers and Acquisitions group.
She graduated from Davidson College with a B.A. in Economics where Lisa was a three-time Academic All-American playing Division I Field Hockey and earned a Masters in Business Administration from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
Lisa lives in Atlanta with her husband, Kris, and two children, Holt (8) and Emily (6).
