Stop! If you or a family member is experiencing a life-threatening illness or injury – such as major head trauma, chest pain, severe abdominal pain, or loss of consciousness – WellStreet recommends that you immediately call 911 or go directly to an Emergency Room (ER). See the list below for guidance on what situations require ER treatment over WellStreet Urgent Care.

  • Pregnancy bleeding or complications
  • Life-threatening allergic reactions
  • Severe burns
  • Signs or symptoms of stroke or heart attack
  • Amputation of a body part
  • Near drowning
  • Electrical shock

If you have a chronic medical condition, consult with your primary care physician in advance about when you should visit the Emergency Room.
