Introducing Easy Pay

Piedmont Urgent Care makes getting care even more convenient with Easy Pay. Easy Pay creates an effortless billing process for patients so there’s never a need to worry about remembering to pay a bill. Payment processes automatically so you can focus on feeling better faster.

With Easy Pay, insured patients are required to provide a credit, debit or HSA/FSA card at check-in before receiving care. Co-pays or coinsurance are due prior to being seen and any remaining balance up to $299 is automatically paid after insurance processes your claim. Easy Pay will only apply if a balance is owed. It’s as easy as that!

Easy Pay FAQ

With Easy Pay, you will only be charged if you owe a balance after insurance processes your claim. If there is a balance, your card could be charged up to $299. The amount charged will be what insurance states is patient responsibility, up to $299. This amount can be found in the Explanation of Benefits your insurance company will send you. Should the balance owed exceed $299, you will receive a bill for the difference. No additional amount will be charged to your card without your authorization.

In addition to any copays or coinsurance due at time of care, Piedmont Urgent Care will notify you if a balance is owed after insurance processes your claim. You will recieve an email from PatientCo on behalf of Piedmont Urgent Care as soon as that balance amount is determined. Your insurance should also send you an Explanation of Benefits outlining what is covered and what is patient responsibility.

All card information is encrypted, or “tokenized,” and stored exclusively through a digital payment gateway.

Yes. If you wish to change your payment information, you may call us before insurance processes your claim and change it to the card of your choice. We accept most major credit cards. We do not accept Care Credit, prepaid cards, university-issued student payment cards, or cards that expire within 30 days. Most patients with insurance are required to opt into Easy Pay to receive care. If you have a high deductible health plan, you may pay $210 with a card at time of care to opt out of Easy Pay. Additional exemptions include:

Self-pay patients. Self-pay visits are available at a flat rate of $210 and include most in-house services.

Workers compensation visits.

All Medicare plans.

VA insurance.

All Medicaid plans (where accepted).

Medical emergencies.
